
Marcella Sembrich: Queen of the Metropolitan

FreeMarcella Sembrich was an internationally renowned opera singer of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1924 she built an intimate lakeside teaching studio in Bolton Landing. Each summer vocal students from the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, where Sembrich was director of the voice programs, would travel to Bolton to study with the famous singer. The Sembrich’s Caleb Eick will provide and in-depth look at the soprano’s meteoric rise to fame and her legacy on Lake George and beyond.
